- Healthy Living:
Listen to your body. Make sure you have a delightful balance of exercise, work, rest, and play.
Great natural allergy-remedy: the cat-cow yoga pose!
"You need carbohydrates to burn fat," according to Nancy Snyderman, MD, chief medical editor for NBC News and author of Diet Myths That Keep Us Fat and Medical Myths That Can Kill You: And the 101 Truths That Will Save, Extend, and Improve Your Life. Why? Because your body uses carbs to fuel its energy-producing system. Try whole grains. Calories matter, so don't overdo it!
Exercise is a mood-lifter!
Extrabody weight places unnecessary stress on your joints, heart, and other internalorgans.
All-in-One Toner (works shoulders, abs, gluts, thighs, calves): Stand with feet wider than hip-width, toes turned out. Sink in to a plie squat, then come up onto tiptoes (option: lift weights overhead as you are up on your toes.).
10. We are anxious to talk to all creative spirits out there! If you hand-make any items that would complement the attitude and feel at Joyful Yoga...jewelry, clothing, yoga bags, etc..., please give a call to discuss sharing for consignment!
11. Low on Funds? Don't let it stop you from exercising! Joyful Yoga accepts post-dated checks, bartered services, and credit cards. Our staff wants you to stay healthy! Let's build a supportive and resourceful community.
Have a peaceful Mother's Day weekend!
With joyful gratitude,
Syd
